Check your oil and see if it's low.

Had a similar problem not too long ago. Light stayed on longer than usual. Checked under the car and noticed oil splattered underneath, cleaned it up and changed the oil. Turns out my plug was barley on hand tight (still trying to figure out how it worked its self loose). Drained and refilled. Did a PFT on the plug and the light turned off normally. If you were leaking oil you need to at least top it off after you fixed the problem. If the light keeps bothering you check to see that you dont have any more leaks (as that may be part of the problem).

My oil light does the same thing, since i switched to a heavier weight oil. I use 10W-40 because anything lighter burns. I don't have any leaks. Have you recently switched to a different weight oil?

No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings.

The oil drain plug. PFT is pretty f'n tight or personal f'n torque. I dont really put it on that tight (worried about stripping threads cause we all know how fun that is), but did this time. Dont really see how it worked itself loose last time.

How much longer is a little longer? Just a second or two, or a minute?

Both my 95 and my 99 GT's the oil light stays on for just a second longer than all the other lights, no leaks, no issues, both using the same kind of 5w30 oil. Just how they always have been.

I think he might mean closer to 5-6 sec longer. At least what mine did. After all lights off it usually stays on a sec longer (when plugs are not working loose).
