Hey Guys,

So I need some help from anyone who has installed the JDM rear lights. After purchasing them off e-bay I fitted them on my car last weekend with no problems with the exception of the rear fog lights - there doesn't appear to be any!!

When looking at the wiring plugs the standard UK lights have all 6 pins wired up but the JDM only appears to have 5. Has anyone else seen this and resolved the problem? I'm not sure if the car will pass an MOT in the UK without the rear fog lights any ideas?

Thanks

I changed the offside reversing lamp to a red bulb & rewired the tail light harness to suit (moved 1 pin).

It will fail the MOT with no fog, thats the only down side to JDM rear lights as they don't have to have fogs.
Your best bet is to buy a bolt on fog light & mount it under the rear bumper as thats what 99% of UK cars do if the Fog is not in built.
The other good thing with the bolt on rear fogs are if you don't like the look of it under the rear bumper you can pop the light housing out of the bracket in between MOT's.
I got my Fog light & a massive long bit of wire from a breakers yard for a couple of pounds so hope this helps mate biggrin.gif

Also Halfords sell them for £7.99

Thanks Guys, I didn't really want to add fog lights under the car unless I really had too.. if I'm making changes before an MOT it's probably easier to re-fit the stock lights. Frisp did your solution tick the MOT box?

With the JDM lights, both rear bulbs light up when the brake lights are pressed - is it possible to move the PIN for the brake light that sits behind the reflector to the fog light pin.. that way one light goes with the brakes and the other when the fog lights are activated - anyone know if that would satisfy the MOT man.

Aslong as there is a fog light it's all good for the MOT
