Has there been any interest in adding a Motorsports Forum for kids who are racing their Celica? I don't know if this idea has been discussed or not... please don't flame...

I really don't think there are enough people who track their Celicas to make a motorsports section worthwhile. Tech topics can go in their respective areas, while general stories can go in general discussion, and multimedia can go in the multimedia section.

That's just my take on it though...you guys are what matters...so what's everyone else thinK?

i auto-x during the summer. and when i do, i post pics and sometimes a video. and list the results to let ppl know how im doing. thats to the extent that i'd post if there was a motosport section.

and to increase peoples knowledge of auto-x

I think if the topic was specifically for auto-x, and not "racing" in general, because that invites people to tell their stupid street racing stories, and we all know where that goes.

Maybe start an official AutoX thread in General or OT or something, and if it gets enough responses to warrant a new section then take it from there? I don't AutoX but I'd love to learn more about it and the setups people use for it. It'd be great to see at least a thread that involves specific function with a purpose other than impressing friends or "because I feel like it" (I know that's a generalization but you get what I mean)

What about just a track section where if you do autox or drag race you can post there...that might be a good idea..I would like it for when I start going to the track to drag race..I can post times..and things like that.

It would have to be a heavily regulated forum where mods would delete posts that don't have proof [Ie Timeslips etc] - similar to the Dyno registry. I think it would be a good thing.

^ I agree, we should have something like this. Granted there may not be "many" who auto-x or drag race, but if there was a section where the people who do these kinds of things, it will attract interest and get more ppl to get out there and track/mod/compete against other members with there celicas. Sounds good to me

I would think... that it would be a forum for ... off road racing .. and setup We're talking Auto-X, cone chasing, I wouldn't want to see dyno runs, or hear about that time you smoked a mustang when he wasn't paying attention. I would want to see discussion on suspension, camber/caster talk, tire pressures, ride height... you know... geek out. And it may be a very niche section but might carry along a small but rabid following....

drag racing should be in there..I don't no if you mean to exclude it...it should be all legal racing or none at all its unfair to members who are into one type of racing and not the other...y should we lose out.

I agree I don't need to read stories about the time when someone was at a red light and gun it and ripped the guy next to me.

I just don't think you can give us one with out the other...but i def think a LEGAL racing section would be awesome...we can post times slips and videos and things like that. Also to post up ur results with autox and what ever other types of racing people may do.

I am just confused gator if u meant only autox.

Definately would have to be numerous types of LEGAL racing. Obviously anyone who races thier car on a track here are most likely either autox or drag racing, but what about rally racing (would mostly be of GT4's, most likely) or just around a paved track..? I like the idea, and requiring some proof is good too

i think there are more people who drag than auto-x. i only know of 3-4 others that have auto-d their cars.
