I don't think that kit is vinyl like decals. I think its more of a plastic that you put on with double stick tape or glue.
Ebay Kit There is a link to another kit which is cheaper price wise but he has a bigger selection of styles. I do not have this kit but it looks pretty decent. |

I had a dash trim kit that I bought of ebay of few years back.
(Check out the gallery in my profile - it was an aluminum kit). I got a good one - by that I mean it fitted properly. They are quite thick and have a UV protection clear coat as a top finish to them. The kit I got had a sticky back to it. It came with some cleaning pads which clean the surfaces before you literally stick the kit on. I had no issues with it lifting once stuck down - so make sure when you fit it, you get it right first time because it wont come off afterwards (without making a complete mess of things). I would personally recommended buying from a reputable dealer, shop or even the manufacturer. (At least then you have some come back if it doesn't fit). I'm currently looking at getting a kit from Dash Kit Mall. |

We've got a red/black carbon fiber trim kit in our car, wife wanted it. It is real CF, not the imitation stuff, so it's got the depth. Pieces could have been cut better, but all in all we're happy with it. Happy enough at least. I just got my first roll of red/black carbon fiber cloth delivered today and am going to start custom wrapping the interior parts. No more stickers, it's fully wrapped and epoxied for me now.

Is that hard to do? I would be interested in doing that! How expensive or inexpensive would it be?

Is that hard to do? I would be interested in doing that! How expensive or inexpensive would it be? Time consuming. I've yet to do it, but I'm good with my hands so it shouldn't give me too many fits. Going to try a couple of small parts, but my first real Celi part is going to be the spare radio surround bezel I picked up. It's flat with few contours. The time consuming part is waiting for the expoy layers to dry, then sanding, and adding another layer. Eventually after the layers are built up you progressively sand like you would a car paint, then clearcoat. Provides a clear and durable finish. If I can get my techinque down, I plan on offering a service here for interior and mics parts to be covered in CF, with permission of course. -------------------- |

Just some interior accessory website that I googled..... *just did a quick search, came up with nothing. I'll get my "book of knowledge" (receipts and car info for the Celi) out later and see if I can't find it. -------------------- |
