Well after the purchase of the cooling panel from the group buy several months back, I decided that I wanted one mirror polished... I know this could have been done with my existing one but organised to get one made up smile.gif There is a group buy going on for these on CCUK but the guy who made them will be putting them on ebay for general sale and said that he will ship internationally for you guys smile.gif He also produces the radiator bracket covers as shown in the pics smile.gif

I will post the ebay link when he puts them on sale for anyone that wants them. Price is around £40 + p&p which I think is really good. This should make your engine bays sparkle

The engine bay has changed a little. From this

I love those, I'd totally love that in my engine bay, very nice indeed. Maybe we should get a GB or some volume discount action going from this guy since our economy suXXX so bad and our dollar is a puny weakling tongue.gif

Hey, how'd you get your alternator looking so nice? I need to find a way to shine up that kind of stuff, like the alternator housing and throttle body.

the pound is worthless too so it evens things out on the exchange rate tongue.gif

I'm sure he would be willing to do a bulk shipment but it would probably be to 1 address for bulk shipment. You'll have to make enquiries. We got a good discount going at the moment as our total order is greater than £500

I fitted a new alternator last weekend so gave it a clean before installing. Throttle body isn't shiney, just the light lol. I used a dremel with a polishing/sanding attachment. Then used autosol smile.gif

Holy CRAP! That looks BEAUTIFUL! Which dremel attachment did you use? Chances are I have it... and did you use a polishing agent? What's autosol, is it a metal polish?

And as for the pound being weak... I know. Yet still, the dollar is weaker. Figure maybe 57£ for the plate+brackets and roughly shipping (although I think I lowballed the shipping there)= about $101 US

Your right, it'll be about $100, maybe a little more

I used a Dremel 518 Abrasive Point, a 516 would do also. 422 Felt Polishing Point or 429 Polishing wheels are good for using with the autosol. Autosol is a very good metal polish. I'd say just give it go, have a play and see which you feel work best. Trial and error is essential laugh.gif

Have a go on something that doesn't matter first smile.gif

I've also used 511 Abrasive Buffs which do a good job too although they wear out really quick when wanting to do a large area

Oh snap - your "Celica" engine bay cover thing looks 100% better now that you added the trim man - good job.

What does this mean:

Your original bonnet/hood stand will interfere with this product so it will need to be removed or replaced with a gas strut conversion, please understand this before you buy

They mean the bar that holds up the hood on your car needs to be removed, but infact it doesnt. This has been covered before it still works.

You just have to bend it a little bit. It fits perfectly.
