just wanna know what you guys paid to have your tires mounted on your rims...

sullivan tires is charging me $120 for all 4. I am thinking that's way too expensive. Where would you guys recommend having it done, and do most bodyshop do it or whatnot?

There are many places (like NTB and such) where you can walk up to the guys inside the garage and ask him to privately mount the tires for you, for like $20-30 depending on the person. We used to do this all the time when I worked at NTB.

Free mounting and balancing per wheel/tire. I just do it myself smile.gif .

$10-$20 per wheel is about average "good" price to have tires mounted and balanced.

Your hook up $40 for all 4

My hook up free for all 4 out the door. lol

But the average price around here is $10 each to mount/balance the tire.

I work at a dealership and it's $90 (1hr labor) to mount and balance 4 tires. That's not including an alignment for $79.95. I think that's way too much.

I used to work at PepBoys where it was like $12/ea tire to mount and balance, also in my dealerships area is Town Fair Tire who offers free mounting, balancing, alignment, rotations, snow tire change over, road hazard repair, everything. I'm sure there are other places that offer that as well.

If I didn't work at the dealership and get all that stuff for free anyway I would just go to Town Fair.

I agree with this one. Just stand over them and make sure they don't scratch anything. I just took four of my 99 Vette wheels with Run-Flat tires on them for dismount, and they only charged me the tire disposal fee. I was shocked enough at the fact that they got them dismounted without a hydraulic arm to pop under the sidewall.
