Yeah exactly. You can see what it looks like in pictures of certain overseas celicas- it was never an option on U.S. Celicas. it replaces the rotary switches for temp and fan speed with push-buttons, and a dial for temprature. I think it looks better, and its nice to just set it and forget it. here's a picture of what it looks like-

Climante Control

It's not even a matter of looking better... it's just BETTER... period... biggrin.gif

I don't think anyone in the states has attempted this conversion... I may after I get my G35, though.

Its like on most new cars. You pick a temperature and it stays that temp in the car. So there is no need for the hi - - - to lo knob. Or the heat/cold knob.

Does automatic climate control automatically kick in the A/C when it needs to? I don't know if I'd like that if it did, as A/C kills power big time in my car.

Also, I'm not sure what you'd need to do exactly, but I'm fairly certain that you'd have to get the climate control unit and the external temperature sensor.

if you set it to auto mode, it will kick in the air as needed, yes. But you can also set it like a normal system and have it run at a set speed and temp. sounds like this could be quite a project seeing as nobody has attempted to do it...

Ya, the AC definately kills power. I switch it off when I pass and such.

Ray, are you selling your vehicle? Or are you just getting a second vehicle. A G35...ahh, another money-pit. A very class car, though. I would love to see a G35 with a Skyline conversion on it.

Me too. I am in the middle of swapping the wiring harness and have the Automatic Controller only for the JDM. I am wondering if it came in a USDM version that I might be able to put together to make one good one.

Was there even a LHD car with the electronic AC control? I would have thought a GT or even if a GT4 was made LHD?
