What`s the deal with muffler&tip?All the pictures I see of this system the unit is polished and is stainless.I have noticed that many posts say that the muffler is black,and that you need to strip the black s#@t off . please someone tell me the truth. confused.gif

I think that just the tip is polished, and the main body of the muffler is black. I'm not sure though, because I don't have a Greddy SP.

Coomer is correct. The tip of the Greddy SP is polished while the muffler itself has dull grey paint over it. I think this makes the muffler less prone to rust and getting scratched up in harsh weather conditions. While I like the understated looks of a dull muffler with polished tip, if its not your style you can easily strip the grey paint with some paint thinner.

they come painted black (muffler) with the tip chrome, it serves no true purpose and i believe everyone, including myself, that has this system has used some high grade paint remover and got rid of the paint. looks much better (and increases 5 hp wink.gif )
