i don't know if i should declare it totaled or salvage it.

here are the specs.
94' celica gt coupe
rare 8 speaker sound system
108,000 loosely on it.
stage 1 racing clutch
short shifter
carbon fiber hood
cold air intake
custom led work
$300 pioneer stereo.

what i know needs fixed.
front frame is bent
radiator and housing.
muffler tip is bent
suspension and alignment
both fenders front bumper
right front turn signal bottom right of the car repainted and some minor dings taken out.

note i an planning to install body work myself
my dad's friend will do the frame and paint
Family mechanic will do all the mechanical stuff.

what value does the insurance company go by, retail, private...?
will i be able to take out my aftermarket parts and put the oem parts back in?

if i total it there is a black 94' gt hatchback for $5000 i'm thinking about.
please share your ideas.

The thing I'd be most concerned about is the fact that the frame is bent...How bad is the suspension?

I'd say it might not be bad idea to look into another celica just b/c the problems that I just mentioned will probably be your most costly repairs.

well my dads friend has a frame bending machine, he does a decent job for a fraction of the cost. suspension is up in the air i'm not sure how bad it is. i'm just waiting to see the insurance estimate.
