Had the meet been setup properly they would have been in the front to begin with with us in the middle and the slower cars behind. It's all good tho - we were just tag alongs and I'm still glad we went. Yesterday morning I woke up wishing I had stayed there so I could do it again.

It was a cool meet, its just the guys with "extreme power" drove like maniacs without regard for anyone else. It was cool seeing all those cars but as soon as we hit the twisties and drove for awhile i knew that i wouldnt go with these guys again. +1 you can have fun & still be safe & respectful to others. not always the fastest cars are the best drivers, but it was pretty much a clusterfcuk as far as any order to the cars at all...just seemed to be one big free for all on top of a HP pi$$ing/power display contest - but i'm just an old fart who doesn't know anything Happy B-Day to zero! -------------------- '87 AW11 MR2 "Super R2" 4AG-ZE swapped Stage 1 Complete

It was a fun trip. Glad I went now since not much fuel was consumed: $15 to get me to Austin, $10 before we finally rolled out, $15 for the trip home, so not all that bad. The cruise route was hella nice. Wish we started earlier so we could've taken that super ultra mega twistie route before heading home.
I spoke with Rob and Ryan and they said they're down for another one in the spring as long as it's well organized. Also gotta make note that in mid March, Texas 2K9 will be happening here in Houston. They're having a huge hooplah about it over on SupraForums, but what's done is done. No one's really mentioned anything about passing people up on those backroads and the danger it could've caused. Just all about how "OMG! THAT CAR SOUNDED BADASS NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT MINE!!!11!!1!!!" Oh well. -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

That's cool - I felt bad for Ryan b/c he really let teh disorganization get under his skin & it just wasn't worth it to get that bent outta shape over.
We'll organize something I suppose after? or would before be better? TX2K9 for anyone who is going to that. Like I said, our group knew how to handle themselves & be safe while having fun. I posted up over there on supraforums ... reminds me why I just lurk there for tech info from time to time. -------------------- '87 AW11 MR2 "Super R2" 4AG-ZE swapped Stage 1 Complete

That shows and seperates the car guys. Ripley: I agree with you on not wanting to sit around a parking lot all night talking about cars.... just give some pavement! -------------------- Sorry, no animated sigs allowed.

Looking good fellas! Awesome pics! That red supra has a nice front lip! I love it! I love to see Supra people with Celicas. Because Tuner Tuesdays, the Supra guys treat me like I am one of them. :-D I love it.

We might have Vadar put back together again by then, but R2 sure was damned enjoyable even though we forgot to adjust the struts & they were still set to soft/street lol A lot of the guys up here don't like to drive so it can be tough to get them out, but they all seemed jazzed on alltrac.net so I can do my best to get as many as I can to come with us. p.s. I'm gonna try & get the nice guy with the MKII Supra that had the 1JZ to come along with us too, he was cool & had a great car. Do remember that for the Supra guys from DFW, if this is planned for March that TX2K9 is roughly in the middle of the month. So that'll be a bit of driving for them in such a short time span if they do plan to go to either events or both. Just a reminder.

The guy with the silver 85 MK2 Supra (1JZ) was trying to get several of us from Celicasupra to go as well. If it wasn't right before payday I probably would have been there too. Looks like you guys had a great time.
