Anyone wanna step up and start a service changing the color on member's climate controls?
Pittfirefighter was doing a super nice job on them for a while but he's not been doing them for a while and I need new unit anyway so hopefully someone wants to make some money changing the colors in it. I know several other people have comment that they want it done too. Could be a good way for someone to make some mod money or money to buy christmas presents w/e. Anyways - I'm your first customer [i just don't care to learn sodering on boards]. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Any one in New Zealand I'll change yours for you. On that note if any one has a "SPARE" one of these and these That I can Rip apart. Please contact me. Has any one got circuit diagrams for the Above units? -------------------- WWSideWinder - 1996 - 3S-FE - Auckland New Zealand

here is the thing, they are not difficult to change, but my method uses almost 20 bucks worth of material(i only use V-leds LEDS). The time spent is consuming, and the price will be around 40 (includes shipping back), not including the first 20 of materials. It only a single color, not color changing, for an extra 10 dollars the little led indicators can be done
So that seems pricey to a couple of people. I have sent one unit to goferris (he sold it to somebody here) and athorn, if i remember. here is the color changed. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... So wait - what would the total be? If we're talking $40 including return shipping then I'm in - no problem. Color would be red tho. What's the benifit of VLEDs?

I trust vleds, due their quality and each led comes with their own diode and resistor from fabric.
And they have very good colors, and last longer than others, I have had my ac for 1 year now. this is just a sample, not the actual LED. but you can see, its already prewired. Now everybody must take into account this is reversible however not easy. I have some pics of the process too. There is one setback, LED do not distribute light evenly, so there is a tendency of the color intensity to fade away the closer you get to the defrost button (far right) but its very minimal. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... Couldn't you just wire another one in over there by the last button? But hell that wouldn't be a deal killer for me at all.

njccmd2002 - So are we talking $40 shipped? If so can you see about finding me a unit at the Junkyards or another member there since I need a new one anyway I might as well save shipping from here to there?
And to sweeten the deal you could have my old one so you could start an exchange program. The only thing wrong with it is the part where one of the cables attach and I don't think it's 100% messed up and it's surely replaceable anyway. thats the problem, the junks right now are junk. I had a spare that i tought maybe i could start this, but pitfire came back for a while, and i sold the spare one i had.
Lets take it to pm. My line of work prevents me from doing this, but i think can hook you up. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL
