I love this car. I love this model. I've had it for a little over a year and everytime I see another celica (be it older or newer) my girlfriend and I call it out. tongue.gif

I've seen my exact style and color probably twice. I like that.

I don't like big spoilers or oversized body kits, and so far i haven't seen a celica i don't like.

I'm looking to customize the exterior (without making it look like i think i'm fast, ya know?) on a budget, I have money i just don't wanna pay too much.

Any tips?

id say just stick with the oem look and just add front extensions, side skirts, and the stock spoiler. lots of guys here just do that simply bc its cheaper, looks cleaner, and it doesnt look so ricey.

To be honest, our cars look ****ING HOT as it is. Just lower it, and use your money to maintain and protect the body and paint.

yeah i've been talking to my buddy at work and he's gonna set me up with lowering my car a bit. i love the look of the car stock but side skirts for sure. what're those little skirts / things on the back and front corners?

top three extererior i wanna do in the next year would be lowering, side skirts, and maybe rims. i like the alloy ones i have. (just got a pic uploaded today btw.) but they're so scratched up.

with the side skirts, could i prime / paint them myself to save money instead of going to a shop? it wasn't hard to find my car color on a autobody website, just wondering if the quality would suck.. lol

My car
my car

You could do this setup. hahahah tongue.gif Mine is a 97 lmtd too.
yeah, I also like to keep it plain and simple. So I'm going
with just factory OEM parts. I'd say get OEM sides for sure.
Those are the best looking ones. and then front and rear
splitters/extensions. Anyways, good luck with you car.
It looks sexy as hell. biggrin.gif

You really don't even have to go with rims. I like the factory alloys. I'll probably get shot for saying that, but there are a lot of rims on this website that look like crap on our cars because they don't belong. If I were you, I'd go with a factory spoiler, skirts, and you have your choice for extensions. There ate the SS-III extensions and the TRD extensions. Personally, I prefer the TRD extensions but had to sell mine because of where I live frown.gif Also, the JDM tail lights look BA. They are expensive but look great on our cars whether or not you have any other mods. I'd buy those first just to differentiate your car from most other US Celicas. But in the end, it's your car and you should do whatever you want with it.

lower it, tint the windows, keep the original alloys if you like and just get them refurbished and sprayed a different colour to compliment the car a bit more. a lip kit or bumper extensions would be the business. As said above, TRD and SSIII are popular. Clear indicators and JDM rear lights and you'll have a nice sophisticated clean look

search the sites rides for other silver celicas to get some ideas too...i know harvester has a pretty sweet set-up with his car...in my oppinion i really like silver celicas and they can be done up pretty sweet....if i were you i would go with stock side skirts, JDM tails, projectors (if you can afford them) and nice drop with some black rims w/ chrome lip....looks really good on silver celicas...now if your looking into spending more money you can look at gt-4 front end conversion, raiser blocks, i would also tint it, and throw some clear front side marker lights and turns in it as well...thats just my oppinion...good luck
