Cars are my passion. Im building my celica for a number of reasons. For enjoyment for one thing. i jsut love working on it and customizing it makeing a 1994 celica, BRENTS 1994 celica. For that fact that i just love doing it. Celicas are looked down on in the car world. because they are slow. but building it to be a monster and shwoing everyone what the celica has, drives me to do it. Turning heads. a sense of accomplishment to make a stock 135hp celica to a 400+ hp monster. that is something to be proud of. gaining the respect of the other harcore enthusiest's who have already accomplished there goal. a way to relax. Walking back to ur celica from a store, seeing it parked and being able to say...damn, thats my car. a way to get away from everything. Working on the celica in ur garage u can just get away. Or driving it when its done. during the day looking at the faces follow your car as u drive by. haveing people point it out to their buddy to check out your ride. and then at night. its your getaway on those empty latenight roads. its just you and your creation, no one else.you can leave just leave reality and get away. It defines you.
yea. thats my purpose This post has been edited by SeverX13: Nov 16, 2008 - 10:42 PM -------------------- QUOTE ‹Superaison› i'm a computer inclined guy.. ‹Superaison› or girl. idk what gender I am anymore. ‹SeverX13› *facepalm* QUOTE suprakid: o sh!t suprakid: i wanna get an obama chia pet SeverX13: hahahahaha |

Well, we all have our own reasons inside for building our Celicas. For me, it's a learning experience. It's a lifestyle, even if you don't race, enter shows or competitions. It's a way to express yourself and interact with people who share the same passion as you. I build my car for myself, not just to be better than anybody else. When I drive my car, I feel what it's missing and I try to improve what I believe that the car is lacking. In the end, I will have a car made just for me. I couldn't have said it better myself! That's exactly why for me too. That, and because I think it's just the coolest thing that there are SO many variations on the same basic concept - to get from point A to point B. To be able to modify one interpretation of that concept to individualize it and make it your own is totally rewarding. I do graphic design all day. Modding/working on/improving my car is my creative outlet. -------------------- |

Sadly, I don't have any plans for this Celica...but like I've said before, I would love to get a JDM GT-4 and making it "mine." The idea of a light and agile AWD with a 300/350 hp turbo would be nasty. Focus on handling and looks, then try to up the speed a bit...but it won't need much.

Well all this modding makes me feel like the car life is like lifting. You do soo much then you hit a brick wall. In this case the brick wall for me is the awd conversion. Will I ever get to it? I highly doubt.

Well I kinda brought my GT4 by accident, was suppose to be getting a 4 door auto - aristo or chaser... but somehow i ended up with a GT4.
The main reason is simply having the power on tap, having something less common and its quite a good looking car but lets face it - its not that practical - but its a nice feeling seeing a pissed off look of the commodore driver you just smoked... |

I needed to get to work faster.
It was either wake up earlier or make the car faster. -------------------- |
