Why don't you just listen to your mom and fix the celica first?

My cousin found a 94 or 95 MR2T for 6K. Flew out to the east coast and drove 22 hours back home alone.

I drove 20 hours to and from to get my mint, old man driver 99GT with 50,000 for 8K. My dad went with me.

if you really want the car you would go the distance to get the car and since its a 4 hour drive why not just take the bus.

Curious on what the price of this was...

QUOTE (mrgrape @ Nov 20, 2008 - 8:08 PM) *
k so im planning to purchase this car http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3155911
he is in oxnord and im in san diego....
its a 4 hour drive and my friend doesnt want to come with me because of the really long drive...
i was plannin to take him so he can drive my celica back while i drive the mr2 back but i guess thats a problem now..

havent test driven it yet, but a lot of people vouch for him and all his other cars are clean as well.
i am also planning to do this in one trip.
Can anyone give me some tips or good info on how to achieve this?

First you need to find 3 people and develop meaningful relationships with them. This means spending lots of time with them, helping them out when they need a friend or someone to talk to, and just plain being there for them. After about a year of doing that, you should have a strong enough bond so that they feel they need to repay you for all the great things you have done for them. Then start telling them a sob story about how badly you need to buy a car. Just drop it into casual conversation a few times. After doing that for about a month, flat out ask one of them to go with you. If they say no, you will still have 2 more people you could ask. You only need 1 out of 3 to say yes, so your odds are pretty good. The only downside to this plan is that you have to wait about a year before asking them for such a huge commitment.
Hope this helps.
