Thank you for keeping it clean Coomer. Some of us actually appreciate the language filter (I'm at work at a respectable job). I was over at Celica.net and there was just a filth of profanity. I also see what you mean by keeping the forums down to not seem intimidating. I had just gone there for the first time today... and was intimidated. There is so many. So thanks for running a more user friendly site.

Sorry to those that like Celica.net. I find it very unappropriate for the purpose it's trying to serve.

the ratio of useless garbage to car related posts is what makes the biggest difference i think.

Andason the reason that there are so many forums there because of the HUGE amount of members that site has compared to this one. I am sure that there are celica meets EVERY weekend for any generation

You have to remember that this site is only for 1 gen of celicas.

Yea the language over there is a little more free than this one but that's what make it different. Just imagine if this site was just like c.net, it wouldnt matter which one you went to it would all be the same.

Dont get me wrong though I like this site better than c.net but when I am looking for some laughs there off topic forum always does the trick.

If youre ever bored have a look at this site, www.toyotaownersclub.co.uk, its another site i sometimes go on, really similar attitude to this place, respectful and chilled, runs practically identical as well.
Obviously its a Uk based site but heh, that dont stop me postin here does it?!!
Its good also to see some more lesser known toyotas like the paseo and how they can look with a bit of work.
If you do fancy postin tell em i sent you and that youre 6gcers! ive pointed a couple this way from there before! wink.gif

Celica.net = Information Sinkhole. There's so much info in those forums, it's scary. Sure, a lot gets lost due to useless posts that fill up the forum pages. They never took my idea of a motor projects forum. A place where all relevant swap info of all kinds could be posted and make Stickies so it wouldn't get lost. Oh well.

bah, i remember when coomer made a post at celica.net saying that 6gc.net would be comming online soon, lol

it has information, you can search it, and you can ask questions. i think it gets the job done just as well as this site

but i have realized that most 6thgenners are now at this site, this site is clean as well(as mentioned above) mostly due to the extremely active participation of the owner and management team of this site.

you wouldnt believe how much time i spend on these forums, as well as the NICO forums. i would go crazy in school if not for these sites.

edit:

i just checked, and im the 11th person to join this site. didnt start posting on the forums for a while tho, not until it started to pick up
