Does anyone have a standard 6gc radio handy? I need to know the depth of the radio and I don't want to take all that stuff apart just to measure it.
Actually I need to know how much space is available, so basically what is the deepest radio that will fit. Thanks This post has been edited by dgbldr: Nov 27, 2008 - 9:43 PM |

I don't have mine here, but I'm pretty sure anything other than single-DIN doesn't fit without modification. However, double-DIN have been fitted with little work.

last i remember there is about 11 inches of space (maybe more..) from the front of the center dash panel to the dash support frame inside. so all headunits should fit.

Thanks guys. Actually I'm not trying to fit a radio. I am making a custom extra-deep dash pocket/compartment because the standard Celica dash pocket is not deep enough to hold CDs. The space available is indeed over 11" deep so plenty for my purpose.

Toyota uses DIN measures -- easiest way would be to look up (google) DIN dimensions.

Galcobar, DIN is only a width & height spec. DIN does NOT specify a depth. Look it up.
