So recently I have noticed some black residue on my rear bumper. So I checked my oil, and found that I am low on oil. So I go out and buy some oil to put in. Opened up the oil cap and found some creamy white stuff in the cap. So I'm thinking, can this really be my head gasket going on me?

So I checked my coolant levels and all is good. No oil in my coolant. I sniffed my oil cap and I smell oil and fuel. Can excess fuel cause creaminess under the oil cap?

So right after this I went home to do a compression test.

cylinder 1- 165
cylinder 2- 150
cylinder 3- 150
cylinder 4- 160

So this tells me I am still within spec. Although I am still a little worried. So I am just going to take it easy for now until spring because thats the only time for me to have another reliable vehicle, my ninja.

So my plans, now keep in mind I am on a budget.

Cometic head gasket
ARP head studs
hks 264 intake and exhaust camshafts
hks cam gears
ferrea valves oem size
hks valve springs

fidenza light weight flywheel.

I am hoping to be able to keep my block the way it is, because I really don't want to put money into it.

Discuss on what you guys think I should do and what parts I should rather go with. I am going to stay with my ct26 and do water injection. I don't plan to make a lot of power, just enough for rallyx and autox.

Thanks guys

will, a bit of residue is normal, its from condensation.
more than abit would be a problem.

the residue on the bumper is from runnin rich.
when was the last time you did an o2?

stay away from the HK$$ gears , they only have 3 bolts that hold them in place.
get the ATS ones, cheaper, and better IMO (the have 5 bolts)
and ferra valves&springs, wait till you do a full build with OS valves. and use ATS spirngs as well (cheaper)

Thanks for your opinion Manny.

I guess I will look into the ats springs. And yes ats gears are cheaper too, but never thought they would be better.

To be honest about the O2 I haven't changed it once. I guess its time to change the o2. And you're right about running rich, because once I'm WOT I'm running around 8.9 for my AFR's.
