Hello!

I am currently planning to upgrade my suspension + wheels for the summer. I want to lower my car, since I will get 17 or 18" wheels on it. But, I dont want the ride to be harsh. Here in Norway we dont have so great roads, and especially not here where I live. It must be street legal (TUV).

What are the recommendations? KW? Spax?

Megans are good for its price - you can get them for around 800 bucks.

Nope you can spend more for D2 and KSport but they are somewhat stiff even with adjustment

i would stay away from 18" rims simply because you will need to get relatively low profile tires which will give you a bumpier ride (especially in a country with rough roads). if comfort is important, don't get coilovers. instead, perhaps get 16", or 17" with higher profile tires, and go with a upgraded shock/spring set up. konis, bilstein, and kyb gr2's are popular choices for shocks. Eibach (TRD), TEIN, and Tanabe are popular choices for springs.

the only reason why i went with coilovers was for adjustability. i wanted to be able to adjust the suspension between cold and warm seasons. the harshness is something i eventually got used to.

yup I like springs ran two different sets but I am going towards coilovers now for adjustability.
