So my dad and I had the car propped up and ended up having my family friend take a look at my engine (broke it down within a couple o days time) and said that the internals looked alright for my car. I was at work so I had no idea, he said he took pics but with an old camera so I'm waiting for the pictures..
Well, he threw the engine in, I helped plug in all the electrical bits and my dad happened to be at my place and said he would help me. When he went to tighten the left header bolt, my dad straight broke the bolt off. I was pretty pissed. His Samoan arse shouldn't have even been near my car. So I was just wondering what kinda process I should use to pull the bolt out? I'm actually driving it around still, as I have work and no substitute car. Also need another exhaust gasket for the ebay header..would any1 know what kind to put on there? Would the OEM gasket fit? Thanks in advance, -Xavier EDIT: Mods please move to Engine section as I didn't know I was still in the General section. Thanks. If it broke off with a piece sticking out, then get a stripped nut remover and hammer it on there and take it out.
If it broke off flush, or inset, then you'll need to drill a hole in the center of it and use a broken bolt remover to take it out. The OEM gasket should work, yeah. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
