So my alternator went out several weeks ago and i replaced it.
Last week my battery died.
I know the battery is usually the next to go after the alternator so i replaced it.
Now it is still going dead.
My alternator regulator is bad because i'm getting 17 volts out of it so that explains why i blew both headlights.
I've disconnected the alternator completely from the vehicle and i still have a parasitic drain.
I have also pulled every fuse trying to isolate the circuit causing the drain.
I still cannot find what is causing the drain on the battery.
The only thing left is the starter right? Its the only unfused component left basically isn't it?

HELP please?!! Any Suggestions?

First thing, stop going after all the factory things first. The first thing you do when there's a parasitic draw is check all your aftermarket electronics. The factory stuff are the last things you disconnect because chances are they aren't the problem, and if they are its usually because of something aftermarket.

no aftermarket audio except a head unit and a cb radio
cb was disconnected-- no difference
head unit runs through radio fuse... which was pulled and the 5 amp draw on the battery was still there

yeah really simple but i completely overlooked it
check how much voltage your alternator is putting out
measure voltage at the battery with car running
if working correctly the alternator should be producing 13 to 15 volts
mine was pushing 17
