Local guy around here put together a turbo kit on his miata. He basically sourced everything from the junk yard and did it all on a very small budget with some really good results. This little car flies!
He's also the one who got me interested in megasquirt after he showed me the one setup on his car. These little cars have a lot of potential!

wow....they not bad for cheap lil cars, it makes me mad that they can beat my "superior" (in the mazda line anyway) rx-8 in a dash if you fix em up for a relatively inexpensive amount of dough redface.gif

Ya in town we got a guy with a white miata and that lil S.O.B. is bad ass! He knows how to drive it very well and for a second, almost made me want to buy one. But I want to stick with Toyotas.

Honestly, I think so.
I don't think he's had any issues with it at all.

Most of those miata motors are low compression in NA form, so they take very well to boost. Even when mazda was working on their own production turbo model, they just threw a turbo kit on the NA motor they sold before.

Its the builds like these that I love.

Where you can build a car at such a lower cost then you can buy on the street. The idea, I spent 8k on this car total and it beats the crap out of your 20k car.

Wow that car is a true sleeper, not even sure if there is any susp. mods and the stock muffler and stock wheels would totally fool anyone, now if only painted the intercooler black and perhaps put some foglights (at night time so ppl can't see the intercooler--what my friend did)...
Yep, I've also seen here a white turbo miata and another is a hardtop drift spec one, don't know the guy or seen it go or know anything of its tune but i never doubted that it wouldn't be quick having that its such a light car.

I want!

I love those little things. Imagine dropping the top and cracking it open on a nice day...
