I'm planning on painting my celica and i was just wondering if this devilbliss HVLP spray gun will be compatible with my 33gal. craftsman air compressor.

here are the specs:

Spray gun: 30 PSI inlet pressure delivers 10 PSI air cap pressure at 13 CFM air volume.

Air Compressor: 1.6hp, 33 gal., 150max psi, SCFM Delivery At 40 psi: 6.3 SCFM, SCFM Delivery At 90 psi: 4.9 SCFM

I was just wondering if the gun will be able to spray a good amount of paint on the car with a good finishing touch. Will the tank be able to supply enough air for the paint job with no wait for charging?

i can't return it, because i purchased this air compressor a year ago. i'll just go with a non hvlp gun or go with this NEIKO HVLP gun I found that produce low scfm.

operation pressure is 40psi : 4.5 cfm
comes with 1.5, 1.7, 2.0 tip

It should work with that spray gun. I don't see why a 33gal can't do the job. Just don't use it for a long period of time.

Sharpe makes a spray gun that is LVLP (low volume, low pressure). i believe you could get your compressor to work with it. it requires quite low cfm. ill let you know about pricing, model, and actual specs of the gun tomorrow after work.
