so my celica was sitting for a little over a year(long story) and i finally got it back. everything seemed great with the new paint job and etc but when i drove it in the rain for the first time again i found a big problem. i hit the brakes at a light and water came pouring down onto me through the front side of the sunroof shade. also, water is steady dripping in through the cabin light. i was figuring that my seal on the sunroof had gone bad/molded/etc but it looks to still be in great shape. I talked to my mechanic friend and he said that it sounded like the sunroof drain was clogged, which makes since because it was parked under trees while it was down. however, he isnt in my area to take a look at it and ive opened the sunroof to try to find the drain hole but am unable to locate it..........anyone have any experience with this before? anyone know where the drain is? anyone think the seal is bad? any ideas?

also, i now have a second problem. when i turn the defrost on, it blows out at my feet and nothing comes out at the windshield. one person i talked to said it sounded like my a/c control module was bad, but when i opened my glove box i found a mouse nest and i have a suspicion that one of those rat bastards clogged a vent somewhere.

any suggestions/ input is greatly appreciated. -thanks-

this story made me laugh.. even though its very unfortunate that it happened. try taking the headliner out to get to the sunroof easier.. (leave it out until you get the leaking issue fixed.) you should be able to see the drain tube alot easier with the headliner out of the way. as far as the defroster vents are concerned.. it sounds like your blend air doors are just being blocked by something( mice??).

Good luck.

Had the same problem a while back where it leaked. If you take out the top headliner of the car you'll be able to see the drain tube, just air it out. Fixed the problem for me.

so i replaced my cd player and in doing so found that the wire harness was jammed into the vent right above the radio which wasnt allowing the flapper to close which made my defrost not work. easy fix!
