My car is going into the paint and body shop in either by the end of this month or the very begining of November. I had chose to mold on my lip kit, and paint my car BLACK with some kind of red pearl, i.e. RED, CHERRY, also heard about RUBY? But i noticed that I'm getting plenty of looks now it being black.

So my 1st question to you guys is should i keep it BLACK (metallic BLACK), or should i got with my 1st idea about the pearl. But will i get BAD attention (COPS thumbsdown.gif mad.gif ) going with the RED pearl.

Next is that i have my interior done (check my profile) in red and black, but i wanna get the red TENZO Rally seats ($450-500 with brackets and sliders). And I'm getting responses from my friends that my interior looks good the way it is and also that it would look good with the TENZO seats.

SO HHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPP what should i do? I'm stuck between a rock and hard place. confused.gif

Statistically a red car has a better chance of being pulled over, It subconciously draws attraction.

Subconciously? Its red, its the longest wave-length therefore reaches your eyes first. Theres a reason insurance is higher on red cars, and stop lights are red.

NOT FOR ME!!!! I'm colorblind so sometimes I can't tell if it is red, green, black, or whatever lol. It sucks....

It still reaches my eye first but i just can't figure out sometimes what the heck color it is!

In the past, this was true... I don't think that this applies today. Red perl WILL NOT attract a cop more. What WILL attract a cops attention are heavy modifications.

i always thought that high insurance on red/black cars was because there are more on the road. and therefor you have a bigger chance of getting in an accident. read it on some site confused.gif

I drove a Red Convert for 2.5 years in LA, crazy like too, and was never pulled over. My friend drove a white 91 Geo Prizm with 50 stickers on his rear window and got pulled over about once a week. Color isn't a big factor anymore, it's anything out of the ordinary to get their attention. Especially in a place like LA. Body kits, lowered cars, they will attract attention, not colors.

David your car is gona atract massive attention any color it is, that thing is loud... And I thought you already made up your mind about the Red Pearl so just go with that and stop asking about it!!! Racing seats would make it look more like what your going for... no offense to your seats now but they kinda look like comfy cadilac seats or something. Plus you need new seat anyways cause your sh!t is falling apart!

yes you need a hub. either MOMO makes one for the 6th gen, or you can get the grant hub for the previous model celicas, and it will work as well (this is the one i have).

yea dude, a red pearl wont be noticeable except for up close, and ive been driving a RED celica for over a year and ive never gotten pulled over in it, while i did get pulled over in a BLACK lexus and a SILVER lexus. Statistics mean nothin in the real world, too many variables goin on. pls dude, black with red pearl will just look so sweet. best of both worlds.
