Leave the metal bumpers, safety equipment should never be removed to save weight. I gutted my car for fun last year and this is what i took out.
Rear seats Speakers/Shrouds Door Plastics If you're really into it you can take out the passenger seat, headliner, radio, hvac controls, ac, ps, side windows Anything that isn't welded on can be taken out. |

QUOTE 98_GT Posted Today, 10:31 PM idk i have my celi insured up the ass so i wasnt really concerning safety i wanna take out my rear seats also thinking about adding a cai or shortram. i wanna take it to an exhaust shop and get it straight piped The metal bumpers should not be removed, modified for an intercooler is ok, but not removed as they are not only for safety but they help tie the frame rails together. -------------------- Trust me, I do this every day |

Seeing as how those crash bars weight about 2lbs at most, I dont think you'll be gaining anything by removing them.
If you want it to go faster, you'll have to boost it. Taking out your interior wont do much to help you. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

if you want to get pedantic look at all the bolts and the ones which have some thread sticking out the back of the nut cut them off. If you want to be even more anal drill small holes down the guts of the bolts.

oh man i've posted this over and over...and like Tiga said, search for weight reduction.
remove the air conditioning and heater core. remove the AC condenser and AC compressor remove the radio remove the speakers remove the plastics remove the rear seats REPLACE the front seats with certified ltw racing buckets remove the rear seatbelts remove the spare tire remove the jack remove the power antenna REPLACE the oem battery for a ltw odysse racing battery REPLACE the wheels you have for forged ltw 17s or 16s REPLACE the lug nuts with ltw weight lug nuts REPLACE the hood with a carbon or GT4 alum. hood REPLACE the hatch (if you have one) with a Carbon hatch Remove teh rear wiper (if you have one) (replacing the oem hatch solves this too) REPLACE the OEM sunroof assembly (if you have one) with a Carbon plug there is more but that stuff will maintain streetability. also that list is good for around 200 pounds maybe a lil more removing weight is not just a power to weight ratio issue (ie make you go faster speed overall) its a handling issue. less weight in a corner is easier to turn, which means higher corner speeds. which means lower lap times.
