ever since the release of the new venza i take more and more likeing to it...they make 4 different models..a 4cyl FWD model an AWD 4cyl model a FWD 6cyl and an AWD 6cyl....the 4 banger is a 2.7L vvt-i DOHC pushing 182 HP and 182 ft. lbs...the 6cyl is a 3.5 liter VVT-i DOHC pushin 268 HP and 246 ft lbs...i think that the FWD 6cyl would be fun and might be a little quicker then the AWD model but can we do more?

The question is:

This

- This

+

This

='s a Hell of a lot of fun in a sporty crossover

Now would this be as easy as stuffing a 6 cylinder into a celica, or as hard as trying to put in a 2jz? noone knows as of yet....i think that if someone or myself in a few years were going to attempt to try and do this i think the FWD model would be best..due to the fact that you would need different axles and a different trans...now the questions comes up as how would you get the motor to fit? i think the bay is big enough but none of the motor mounts would line up...thats where some custom fabbing would half to come it...i think with a little bit of work you should be able to fab something up so that it can hold a 3s.

now the other question is auto or manual...im 90% sure that these are only 6 speed automatic transmissions that they come with and even if they did come with a manual trans, chances are they arent going to bolt up to the 3s...so i personaly would go with the E153 trans...and convert it into a stick...this would be a sweet project and the finial product would be cool as ****..a crossover you can mod the hell out of and carry the whole family or all of your friends around.

more work then what its worth? maybe but thats all up to the person doing the project..if i can ever get my hands on one of these in a few years for cheap..or in an accident that needs repair...i would love to do this...one of the main reasons is the body style

i havent seen one in person yet so i cant judge the styling BUT before i went through the trouble of putting a 3s in there i would check out performance mods for the exsiting engines since the v6 already has pretty respectable output numbers
