ok, this is only a question
so if its a stupid, go easy on the bashing
but i have a honda motor laying around
that had a significant amount of aftermarket work on it
i know it wouldnt be easy (if possible at all)
but is it possible to get the b22 2.0 liter
into my celica?
it originally came out of a prelude i used to have
if i sound stupid
please delete the post, and prevent my further shaming
but just checking if its possible...

Anything is possible with the right amount of money, know-how and determination. Look at Ken Gushi's Scion TC, and I've seen a 57" Chevy Nomad (that's a Bel Air station wagon basically for those of you that don't know) with a midmounted Ferarri V12 and transaxle.

You would need custom mounts, custom cv axles and you would need to use the prelude transmission and shifter. That's all just to get it in the car of course, after that you need probably custom radiator hoses, relocate some components underhood like the battery and whatever else to make it fit. It may not actually be that bad to do if you can fabricate pretty well. It's just getting parts together, like i said it's more expensive to do than it is hard to do.

well i have a machine shop
where im capable of fabricating alot (not all)
of what i would probably need
i have a transmission that i could use
i guess what i really need to do is take the old engine out
of the piece of crap its in
haha, i got it in a junk/scrap car right now
i suppose im gonna have to pull my sleeves up
and pull it out, maybe this weekend
and look and see what all need to be done

Well, good luck to ya man. It'll be kinda cool to see you pull it off, even if you do catch flak from other guys.

Hey it would be as fast as a Honda and handle like a Celica, who wouldnt want that?LOL
I was going to go even more to "The Dark Side" and put a full Mustang engine an drivetrain in mine, but I don't think I'm going to now.

you could probably sell the honda motor and flip that money to get a nice 3sgte to drop in....though an A series motor would be a much more direct swap for you, a nice supercharged 4agze.
