Right now im trying to decide wether or not to pick up rims or a new paint job. My ex gf's grandfather owns a bpdy shop and sed he would repaint it white for 500.

However i view rims as essential to style and a must need for anyone modding there cars.

As u all know, or atleast some of u the 6th generation celicas are getting older. Mine has cracks bumps and stians all over it (not that exaggerated) but they r noticeable.

in this situation wut would u guys do?: brand new looking car or new pair of 17" rims(o and by the way the rims are 17" enkies im buying from my friend for 800

Go with the rims, If its a good deal. The paintshop will always be there and just stay on good terms with the guy. I say this all assuming your paint now is substantial.

Rims, but I would get 16's if I had a choice. they're more practical, and your tires will be cheaper.

well if your paint job isn't that bad I'd say go with the wheels, but if it really bugs you get the paint fixed, 500 isnt that much for paint atleast.

Save up and get both at once. If you can afford the 800 for the wheels (which in my opinion is a little steep for 17 inch wheels -- check out http://www.wheelmax.com ), then you are only 500 away from having both.
