A few things to check...IIRC
Jap had a different air conditioning control unit....the UK one is very basic The rear diff of UK cars has a plastic diff airflow thingy (cant remember if that was just WRCs) UK cars have a bigger gearbox oil cooler Jap cars have really weak seat belt tensioners UK cars have a long thin rear number plate surround, the jap ones have the taller narrower type but these can be easily changed and often are. The vin plate should be the give away That sticker on the second photo would make me think its a Jap car imported to the UK (most are) If its a jap car imported to the UK, theres bound to be a japanese coin under the carpet somewhere. Although technically they were all made in Japan :-) -------------------- |

I don't want to create a new thread. But i want to know where the ST205 Celica where sold in, brand new. Because I want to see what countries have the best exchange rate in order to buy wheel bearings.

If you have the part number then technically any toyota dealer anywhere should be able to get you the part. It's just some are unwilling to as it might require a small amount of effort.
They were sold new in - UK, Japan, Italy, Australia, New Zealand ( I think) possibly Germany too. I get mine brand new from TCBParts.co.uk their prices are hard to beat. -------------------- |

some i'd say more like most. i'll try talking to TRD Headquarters USA here in Torrance, CA
the guys in Poland that do GT4Racing products. have them a slight bit cheaper(KOYO Bearings of course). because they euro is slightly less expensive for us Americans. I didn't ask them but I'm pretty sure they can do it for $250-260 shipped while TCB parts wants $280 shipped -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

It's easy to identify. Just few pictures of the car or interior is needed. Or if you have picture of metal id plate in engine bay. That can confirm it as well.

The pictures are just service reminders for the car.
- Change oil every 5,000 km or every 6 months, whichever is first - Change oil filter every 10,000km - Air cleaner element every 12 months for 50,000km - Timing belt every 100,000km ----- 3S engine platform 1998 cc Idle rate - 700rpm CO rating at idle 0.1% HC rating at idle 100ppm OR something close to that. My car has the same stickers as well being a JDM. |
