Kind of looks like he was lifting the wheel off while taking a turn. My first reaction was that the guy was landing after getting some air.

JDM doesn't have those front splitters afaik.

I'd say it was European.

looking at the other pics in the guys flickr, it seemed to be a track even, not like auto-x but an actual track. and it wasnt in the US

events like that, you can tune your radio to a certain channel where the track officials are brodcasting the times and standings etc.

looking at the decals (anyone know know them?) it might be in europe, but be a JDM ST205 import? you cant see a driver (but might just be the glass)

WRC's were built in 1994, I'm pretty sure that's JDM.... its almost identical to my car aside from the gt-four running gear, And I'm almost positive that 6M1 was only available as a colour option in Japan starting in 1996, same thing with those factory wheels... And being that WRC wing is on it which wasn't available in '96, in stock colour too, it has to be 1997 or '98.
