Is there a compression testing sticky out there. I want to know how to measure my compression. I have the tool...

Pull the spark plug out of the cylinder you are testing and pull all the spark wires and the fuel pump fuse. Install the compression tester into the spark plug tube and turn it by hand so it's somewhat tight. Turn the key to let the motor turn over about 5 times and see where the gauge stayed.

its pretty simple.

warm up the car, then turn it off.

pull your EFI fuse in your engine bay fuse box.

remove spark plugs.

install tester in cylinder #1

hold throttle wide open, and crank the engine ~4 times.
record the reading, and do the other 3 the same way.

the bgb thats hosted on the main page sticky has the compression specs, IIRC it was ~ 147 or somthing minimum, with a max variation between cylinders ~14psi.
good luck! smile.gif

no, just hold the gas pedal down when youre cranking the car. the car isnt going to flood because you have killed the fuel

1st 210

2nd 190

3rd 200

4th 210

Little worried about the # 2. Recently my car has been consuming more oil. But most of it on the floor.

My best guess the oil pump, or IDK.

My spark plugs have a little snow? (white frost) Bad News? or ?

You're ok, Toyota doesn't really have a specific number that they can be different, they go by a percentage. Your's all look ok, no problems with compression. Instead of 14 PSI it is more like 15% difference between the highest and lowest is acceptable, more than 20% difference and you should start thinking about a rebuild. You're only looking at just under a 10% difference there, it's normal.
