ok, so i was coming home from greenville, sc. driving at night with 3 friends in the car. and a dog ran out in front of my car and went under me. there was not much i or anyone could have done. it was a narrow road with deep shoulders on both sides. but anyhow my car has taken its toll from this. and the front lip is now totally cracked. and i was wondering if it is going to be repairable. the car does have its share of high mileage but for the sake of resale and for my own pride driving the car i want it to look a little more presentable. so i will soon post some pics of the car and any advice on how it could be fixed or not fixed would be super appreciated!

i know a couple of local guys who fixed my pre-face bumper when i first bought my car.. the entire driver side was messed up and there were several cracks but they made it like new again. so yeah, it's fixable but it's also a good opportunity to upgrade if you're looking to go in that direction.

Definately fixable...My Tom's front lip is cut sort of like this, I plan to FB it back together.
This would also be a good opportunity to repaint it at the same time.(although if your going to sell the car anyway, maybe not nessesary) -------------------- |

yea, the paint deff needs a touchup. but since i am hoping to sell the car be the end of the summer i will probobly do some spraypainting with mid grade car paint again. i did it before and it looked very good, only in some light cases could you tell the difference. as for the front. one of yall mentioned a local friend who worked on fixing your front? think you could give me a rough estimate judging from your experience with your repair man?

because my car was involved in a side collision at the front, the whole front end was damaged. there were many things that had to be done: repair & repaint bumper & fenders, install headlamps, frame rail realignment, wheel alignment, safety, body integrity, etc etc.. so i can't say how much the repair was.
but my sister's 6gc had the same issue as you do and she was quoted $200 CDN for the repair and paint. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

yea. i took him off the road, and asked the only house on the road if it was there dog (the dog had no collar on it) and the house owner said it wasnt his and that many people release stray dogs around that area. but still that was a rough night. i felt pretty harrible!

You should be able to use fiberglass or some sort of resin to fix it. It shouldn't be too hard.

sorry for going a little bit off topic, but looks like you hit a pedestrian lol, nah just kidding, If I were you I could at least get an electronic soldering gun and make holes 3/4 of an inch all around the broken parts and get thick copper wire and kind of sew the bumper back to one piece, and it wouldnt look as bad as it looks now, I also know another way, but its too complicated but the results would be like it was never broken, and I need to fix my front bumper too because it has a little crack thats about 1 inch long. well dude I think you have enough problems already so I dont need you to read mines too lol, but I just had to write that so that you can see that you are not the only one with broken bumper, so dont feel so bad about your car, look at the possitive stuff of your car take care bro and hope I helped you.

when i get time, i think i am going to get some kind of rod and use that as a skeleton for the main lip that broke then maybe use some carbon fiber on the inside of it to hold it together. as for the little teeth or the prongs that suspend it im not sure the best way to hold that to the main broken lip.

since the lower part is completely cracked, should i just use fiberglass/carbon fiber on the inside and outside to hold it together? will that be strong enough? and for the teeth or the prongs that hold the lower part of the lip, will fiber glass/carbon fiber be strong enough to hold them together even going over bumps.
