Probably a blown speaker. My car came with a blown driver's side speaker, and it didn't even try to work. I have a factory amp, and even still, when I pulled the speaker out, it was very clearly labeled on the back "TOYOTA 15 watt max." So if you've got an aftermarket head unit and you've cranked it up, it's a pretty safe bet that you fried your speaker.

I am still browsing for answers but I stumbled on to this post . I have a front passenger 8 inch speaker out and I was wondering what kind is it. Also what kind will replace it. Where did you get it (I cannot find one anywhere)and what size did you use. Thanks anyways found that guide to use the old speaker as a adapter. Thanks for that one.

Thanks in advance.
