Same here. My old ones went to hell and the only sprayers they had at the store were the LED ones. I had to go on a roadtrip the next day so I had to get them. I hooked them up to my turnsignals instead of the headlights. I think they do look cheesy though. |

I have them on my car and I love them. As for getting ticket for them in most states if there the white ones the cops can't do a damn thing about them... there auxilary lights.
and WTF is all this **** about making Celica's ricey??? lets face it most imports are from JAPAN and, with the exeception the the 300Z which is the embodiement of Japan, Toyota has the most "Japanese styled" cars on the market - expessially the Celica and Supra... if you dont want a rice burner go sell your ****en celica and get a cavaliar or neon, lets face it all of our cars are rice burners! it doesn't matter what body kit,rims,wing/spoiler, etc u have its still going to be a japanese car. Maybe I am a little partial towards "ricey" cars.... hey I grew up with Transformers and Akira so nething that is Amine/Japanese looking appeals to me. Point is if you like something do it... don't give a **** what neone else thinks about it cuz it's you car! you have to look at it and drive it so make it what you want it to be. I see alot of people on this site that really don't have **** done to there cars but run around with this "holier than thou" attitude... its bull****! yea this board is for knowledge and opinions, but it seems like every other word is "thats gey", "this is so gey", "thats ricey and gey" and **** like that. There's just a lot of people here that think there **** is so much better than others and get on peoples asses for the littlest things. I think the people that are new to all of this are the ones that deserve the respect of the people that have been tunning since befor F&TF and know something about it. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Matt you are 100% right on this if someone likes it on their ride do it. No one sould give a **** about what other people think about ones own car. I love my celica and I respect anyone that does something to their ride that i wouldn't do just because it's different. Everyone on this site wants after market support but think about it. If a company takes a look at this site why would they want to make something for are cars if eveyother person is say that this and that is gey. Honda owners get so much support cause they are willing to do anything to their cars to make them stand out and look origianl. -------------------- |

Newer cars (Mazda 6) are starting to come with Altezza taillights standard...could it be the future?
Anyway, I was pulled over a couple of weeks ago and got a ticket for my blue LED lights. Later that night I met a dude that has those clear ones you guys were talking about, and there 100% legal. This is a ridiclous state law. Anyway, before I get too pissed your right man, your ride is an expression of who you are, not of making Celicas look better than Civics. |

Neverstop, first of all stop cussing, it doesn't help your argument any. Secondly, I disagree with your statement about all Japanese cars being "rice burners". This is clearly not true, check out sites such as ricecop.com or riceboypage.com, the definition of rice in the automotive-slang sense does not encompass all Japanese cars but instead discribes any distastefully modified [sport] compact car. I think windshield washer leds are ugly. therefore they are rice (to me). |

If you wanted to be really technical about it then yes the term "riceburner" does incompass all imports... the slang started with owners of true muscle cars in the 80's when the import scene 1st got its start. Granted you have a point about some car really being "RICEY" but my point is that everyones car is there own and you are intitled to do it however you want to and shouldnt make dicisions because some people here call it "gey" PS.. I appoligize about the cussin it just makes me mad when people do stuff like that -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

i think they look pretty slick personally, i dont mind the fact that they are cheap, because IM cheap but yeah i had blue ones on my camry, which i got pulled over for. i had them wired to my headlights and the frame, so i just disconnected the wires to the frame, but still use the chrome sprayers. every now and then they creep back on, if the wires (crapily disconnected) touch the frame haha, its pretty spooky, returning form the dead. back to my point, i still think they are slick and i think i am gonna get some clear ones for my silver 94 celica gt once i get done with other, real mods. i respect everyones opinion on them, as long as their opinion is respectful. mark.
