Yes, i've found the seats in the 6gc are not that reliable. Girlfriend was sitting in the passenger, and the top just drops to the back seat. Being she only weighs 105, i was moderately surprised at the break.

Limited on funds for cosmetics at the moment, so I opted to have a friend weld it back together, now that its back in and more sturdy then the original punched metal I can say its cover worthy since i doubt i'll be modding some other seats in place.

Side note: Noticed the drivers seat was broke in the same place as the passenger while detailing this weekend, seems like they love to break on the hinge part, lucky the metal bent down instead of out, so my seat stays up...for now.

Don't think I have ever heard of that happening; was your car ever in a serious collision?

Never thought about the accident part. I believe my vehicle at one time was in a wreck, of course its not a salvage title, but there is obvious signs of it being.."fixed"

All good Cicero. Thats how my passenger was, only one side was broke. Got it welded back together, and he droped 2 beads on the other side just in case. Which was a good test, cause hes going to do my exhaust too =)

Instead of buying seats just going to get some custom covers, i'm cheap as hell, and i want to focus more on performance. Got to get the most outa my ST! May be my everyday work vehicle, but i can atleast get light to light as fast as possible.
