to be clear, you need the 1MZ ECU and wiring harness. get in touch with Dr Tweak. he can help with wiring conversions

try to get as much needed for the v6 swap. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. - haha so cliche.

I am getting a garage to do mine at the moment you will need to fabricate a custom engine mount, stiffen up the existing engine torque mount, uprate the clutch, replace/modify the flywheel, fabricate a custom header. Adapt the tacho to read a 6 pulse input instead of 4 pulse, standalone ecu or 1mz-fe ecu and full wiring loom

would you really have to modify or replace the flywheel?
if your buying the right enginge an tranny shouldnt they already work together? This post has been edited by grasby: Feb 21, 2009 - 12:05 PM |

you will need to modify the flywheel as the celica clutch will not fit on the camry flywheel, and the celica flywheel doesnt mate direct with camry crank shaft.
So you either have to drill new holes in the exisitng flywheel, or ideally source a lightened flywheel and drill new holes in that. I have a fidanza flywheel which will be mated with a black diamond sports clutch when mine gets done next month |
