Trying to get a stripped Celica back on the road. I'm usually pretty good with wiring but I have no idea where to begin with this one. The turn signals and hazards work, the running light don't. I'm positive it has to do with where someone cut these wires. If anybody has a clue or pictures to where this plugs in at or where the cut wires go? Am i missing a piece after the cut wires? Thank you!!

The red and yellow cut wires coming out of the brown harness. The plug has pink and red wires.

It all comes out of this box, no distinct part number or markings.

Keyless entry module is the black box. Cut wires coming from ignition are not factory so remove the piggyback clips. Two wire plug your holding looks like key illumination plug?

Man, I"m seeing Ohio pop up on the map! Where were all you guys when I was there?!

But yeah, black box is the keyless remote (should go under drivers seat) and I'll check later today about those plugs and report back. Unless someone beats me to it tongue.gif

I'm actually based out of Charlotte NC now I'm just too lazy to update my location.

Anyways I got a better picture so maybe someone could tell me where this plugs in at, I see nothing in the vicinity so that leads me to belive I'missing a part? It has a solid red and a solid pink wire coming of the plug.

I know it's the keyless entry module, everything on the car works but the front running lights. 4 ways work, turn saignals work, rear parking/ running light work, just no fronts when the headlights are set to one click or to on.

An someone mentioned it goes to the key ring, a picture, everything on the ignition is plugged in, and you see the two cut wires in the lower left.

Thank you guys for your help!

I wouldn't suspect that to be the reason your front parking lights don't work. Those two piggybacks look like they are tied in to your 12V constant and ACC/HEATER/BLOWER wires, someone was using those feeds for something in the past, I would remove the piggybacks and forget it, whatever they were feeding was aftermarket.....(and improperly removed I might add, would have taken 30 extra seconds to rip them out and tape it up /installer rant)

Now the fact that your rear markers work and your front markers don't is interesting. They share the same fuse and circuit but different ground points, so the only way they would not work when the rears do is if the ground wasn't attached (besides just being burnt out) the front ones are grounded inside each respective fender.....trace them, or even easier test the socket with a multimeter, first look for 12V and GND on the two pins, then look for 12V on one pin and ground your other lead somewhere else...that will tell you right away if your ground is bad

That would be my first thoughts anyways.

As for the plug coming off the keyless entry module, it is probably for an option you don't have. I wouldn't worry about it, and I highly doubt it would affect your front marker lights

edit: found a schematic, changed my diagnosis
