With my tax return check ill be buying a set of some nice sticky summer tires. The issue is, I dont know what to get. Right now im looking at these two options...

Falken RT-615



or

Proxes T1R



Any experience with either of these tires? Also im planning on running a degree or 2 of negative camber on the fronts.

falkens or Michelin Pilot sport PS2 or Cups

but out of your two options Falkens over the toyos

Yokohomas or Bf Goodrich G-Forces, i have the g forces on my celica and they stick really good, along with a nice suspension setup you can take turns like a pro.

I currently have the 615's on my car now. I got them after my T1-R's wore out. The Toyo's are amazing. Much better than the Falken's. But the Falken's are good tires. I don't have complaints about them, I was just spoiled by having the Toyo T1-R's.

Hankook Ventus RS2's.

I have heard a lot of good things about them.

I dont personally have them, but if I had the money I would have them.

I've had nothing but good experience with Falkens of any kind. Put them on cars at work, had the summer tires on the WRX and the Lexus, and hope to put them on my 7th gen wheels when I get them.

Plus they're pretty affordable, and that's always a bonus for me being a broke college student lol

if you don't want to be replacing tires every other summer get a high performance all season tire. those high performance tires are nice and sticky, but tread wear is usually below 300 usually around 250 or so. the all season high performance tires are more like 400-440 tread wear. manny's advice is great michelin makes a ver nice tire.

i agree. The grip is awsome on the summer tires, but you will be replacing tires literally every other summer depending on how much you drive on the wheels.

The falkens will be almost gone by the end of one summer alone. Tires like those, bridgstone RE-11's, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 star specs, The new Kumho's, all those Ultra hight performance summer tires are basically designed to be a street-legal race tire. But the wear ratings are mostly no greator then 200.

Find some high performance all seasons. Good grip, and they will last hella long. Unless your putting your car to the ultimate test on the track, you wont feel the difference.

My Avid VS-4's are all season performance and have a 500 tread wear rating.

General Exclaim UHP
Good High performance summer tire

VERY good tire for the price...
Acceptable treadwear and very good grip
This is one of the cheapest summer tires but its a very high quality tire.
I have 3rd gen 3sgte 300hp LSD on 17"wheels and this tire makes the difference: in 1st speed , the front tires almost grip totally on stock boost.

Unless you race on track, don't pay for Max performance, low treadwear tires...

The problem with the Falkens is that they will be worn down to the indicators in no time. I would also suggest a performance allseason tire, such as the Continental Conti-extreme contact. I've mashed on them with my wrx for over a year now (17K miles) and they have probably 2 more years of abuse left at least.
