Hi There,
I have had a 1994 gen 6 for the last 6 years and there is one button on the stereo that I can't figure out. The car is a japanese import with the original double din CD/Tape/Radio. The button has some arcs on it going from small to big something like this )))). When you press the button there is a buzzing sound from the speakers and the display says 1600, no other button does anything while this is on and you need to press it again to clear it. I hope someone can help, as after 6 years I know the car inside and out.................except for the mystery button........ |

I think it might be the Band button, which changes the radio from FM band to AM band. 1600 is just a frequency, you should be able to change that with the tune buttons.

Thanks for the reply, I thought of AM/FM first but the tuning buttons don't change the 1600 at all. |

i think i have that on my stereo. mine is a jap import as well. it says 1600 Hz iirc. i think it has something to do with the navigation system.. i'm going to check it out shortly. brb

Must be one of the japanese options, maybe weather alert or something. like RDS in the usa. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL
