Will the st185 w/a intercooler fit under the stock hood?
Does the lack of vent / scoop prevent proper heat dispersment or is that unneccesary since its w/a?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

from my knowledge of the st185- you would have big problems with cooling- the design of the exaust mainfold in the 185 was used to let heat escape from under the engine, and to top it off the road car had problems with lack of cooling as it was, because the front openings for air coming in were not large enough (in development of the car the turn signals were supposed to be intakes for more air, but toyota jp. diddent listen to trd at the time and put blanking plates in them, so the car was robbed of colling air, and since the car had to be homligated to race, the blanking plates had to stay put) ... so considering that the 6th gen with the turbo setup had a very different front air intake sysem, id say you are out of luck using the 185 turbo in a 6th gen...

huh? Something like 15 ppl have swapped the 185 into the 6th gen. Yes it will fit under the hood but unless you wanna get heat soaked terribly cut a hole in your hood or get a FMIC.

Also, the ST185 had an air to air, not water to air. Only the RC versions had that along wtih the ST165 and ST205.
