I would like to start working my way towards adding serious power to my car.
I am very new to the details in such upgrades so bear with me.
Being that I am short on cash and looking to take things step by step, is there anyway that I can look to put in the rx-7 fuel injectors, fuel pump and other upgrades aside from the actual turbo, intercooler and piping or is something like that definitely not Kosher?

Understanding that by doing this my car will be running very rich, how much would it cost if I wanted to reprogram the ECU so that it can better manage the new air/fuel ratio and bring out peak performance?

Currently I only have a Weapon-R intake on the car but am doing a full exhaust overhaul within the next few weeks.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I again apologize for my newbness.

you dont wanna install injectors untill the turbo is in.

research the stickys here on the board, and the current turbo builds going on for tons and tons of usefull information.

the key to any sucsessfull 5sfte is research research research. wink.gif

Our cars, you can't just take out the ecu and reprogram it like the Honda guys can. You are going to need an SAFC at the least to control all of your fuel ratios. Like presure said, research. There are loads of builds on this site and dozens of threads about the 5sfte. Start with this guy's thread ^^^ I hear he's pretty good at turboing a 5sfe.

Thank you and yes I've seen his car and it is a beauty. Thats basically what I'd like to be working my way towards however I don't have either the $2k to drop into the car right now, or a second vehicle in case the job takes more than a weekend.

Again thank you for your help, just wanted to know if its something that could be taken step by step or needs to all come together at once.

Get your exhaust done, put in the safc, wire the gauges, and slowly buy all the parts you need. Then you should have no problem doing it in a weekend.
