JL Audio XR650-CSi

here are the ones i bought for the eclipse. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=32819

very good deal and fast shipping and everything is brand new.

I'm with him about the MB Quart. Those speakers sound gorgeous. But for the question at hand I say Polk as well. I personally have Alpine Type S speaker and they they are good but would be a lot better amplified. I wish I had money...

Polk is definitely the better choice. But if I was you I would still upgrade to something better.

I'd say get Polk. Like Andason and Matt said though, listen to some MB Quarts and see how you like them. Some people don't like them because the highs can be a bit bright due to their titanium tweeters, but some people(like me) love them. They're definitely going to be by next speakers for my front doors.

yea coomer thats exactly what i was going to say but people might not understand what i meant

the JL model i posted sounds a little warmer than the MB's. they are still very very good. probably next in line to the MB's.

When I was buying speakers I looked at all of these. But in the end I ended up getting a pair of CDT Audio CL-61's. The sound on these is just amazing. No matter what you do make sure to check out www.thezeb.com. Most of their prices are pretty good plus free shipping.

I've liked the Infinities that I've heard, but they sound very muddy and the highs aren't near as good as Focals or MB Quarts. As far as Polk speakers, I haven't heard them.

I am the proud owner of JL 6.5" XR component speakers and they are bad ass. I got those and the 5.25". I have heard the other two and they just don't seem to compare to JL in my opinion. Plus there is a 4-5 year standard warrenty with JL and I guarentee they won't bust.

these do sound really good!

for component speakers I would go with JL or MB Quarts... for subs I would go with Audiobann - there subs are clean
