Well iam about to start my 5sgte project , right after i graduate from hs ( this summer:D ). I already have gather the main parts for the build, 98 5sfe block, 98 5sfe crank, i have a spare 3sgte longblock sitting in my garage , and apexi power fc biggrin.gif . I have been researching for the past 2 yrs and i think am ready to takcle the frankesntien engine biggrin.gif. Well since i just fixed the vac leak i had in my 3sgte swap , am ready to take it out. Since the swap is coming out of my ST chassis i thought maybe it will fit a 94-97 corolla or geo prism chassis without than many modifications. Like 2 years ago when i had finished the swap , i sold my stock 7afe engine and tranny to my friend with a 94 1.6l geo prism . That was one of the easiest swap i have ever done, the tranny mounts bolted up, I cant remeber clearly but i think we used the celica's passenger motor mount. The Geos stock wiring connected perfectly with the 7afe connectors. Even the ecu's were interchangeable. The car ran great with either ecus. So here are my reasons why i think the swap may not be has difficult:

. Both the celica and corolla/prism have a 7afe.
. I havent compared the wiring from a St celica and a corolla/prism but since the
the ecu's are interchangeable then they have some kind of similaraty .
. My 3sgte swap Comes from an st celica so the wiring may not be a big issue.
. Since both the celica and corolla/prism have the same tranny and use similar if not the same cv jont.
then the corollas/prism wheel hub Should be able to accept Celica GT's cv joints , or a hybird cv joint using a mixture of both .
. Has for the passenger and driver mounts i think i can use the celica Gt's, since i was able to use the stock mounts from my celica in the Geo.
. Now for the crossmember and the rest of the motor mounts i have no idea
. Shifter cables i have no idea lol

I been searching but i cant find any website or forum that has info on a 3sgte swap on a 93/97 corolla/prism chassis , so lmk if yall can find any info .

Any type of ideas or help is welcomed biggrin.gif

I have pictures of a friend with a 4th gen swap on his corolla 96, the one thing you have to worry is about the mounts, I think his some of his ( front /rear ) were custom.

the hub will definitely accept the GT axles,

Do a 4age turbo set up. The 4age is a bulletproof motor and shares the same mounts as a 7afe. Also the 4age is a much cheaper motor. I have a 96 corolla with a turbo 4age if you want to see how it looks.
