I actually own a Short Ram air Intake on my 94 Celica GTS. I was planning to put a cold air intake. I've looked at the one found one ebay but i don't know if they worth buying them. Where do the air filter is located? Under the car or near one of the front wheel? Someone has tried these? Do you have any better suggestion?

Also did anybody tried to put Headers one their 2.2L 5s-Fe engine? The one one ebay seems to be really well made but do they work? I don't want a check engine light always lit...

Thx for helping me. Between i'm new to this website and sorry for the error i can make i don't usually speak english i come from Quebec/Canada.

5s and the 7a are diff engines very impotant that you know that cuz stuff wont fit right (you can go with corolla headers for 7a) and the CAI other than the short ram sits under the battery.

So it is not really a cold air intake since it is still in the engine bay... And for the engine i got the 2.2 so it's the 5s no the 1.8 7a

I hear the ebay headers are decent. There are a few people on this site that have them installed. If you do buy them most recommend that you wrap them to keep the engine bay heat down.

good luck

i had ebay headers on my 94 GT for over a year with no problems and no check engine light. i didnt wrap them either. as for the cold air get one for a 90-93 honda accord and cut it to fit. i believe theres a how-to on it. thats what i did and had no problems with it. it was like 35$ shipped from ebay

Wrapping headers will actually cause them to degrade at a much faster rate. These are meant to cool down quickly, wrapping them will actually keep heat in and force them to almost dissolve. There are a ton of people on here who had issues with them cracking and breaking, most of which stems from them being wrapped in the first place.

While yes, the header wraps are supposed to help, they only hinder performance. Try a google search, there was a long 2 page article written on this.
