Hi all, wondering if anyone can help with this one...

I have recently installed a new head unit, amps, speakers, sub etc. Upon disconnecting the battery to connect the power lead for the amps, the remote locking and alarm have gone crazy. The open door icon on the dash and internal lights in the car started flashing and would not stop, so I had to disconnect them, and the remote locking has packed in... had to take the car to Mr T eventually, they didn't really want to know/couldn't sort the problem and simply stopped the lights flickering, but did not manage to resolve the central locking problem.

Now, when ever you start the car, the alarm goes off and wont stop, I've tried resetting the fobs to no avail, and suspect it may be something simple like the battery in the alarm etc, either way Toyota couldnt sort it, is it time for a new alarm or does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance guys.

when you installed something you didn't hook something up, attached something where it shouldn't go or you are looping/grounding a circuit. I'd undo what you did 1 by 1 until you find the issue.

or you've already fried a control module.
