Well this weekend I am going to paint my rims. First I will smooth down the rims to a new finish real smooth, then prime with what? I can't find any primer that is good to stick to aluminum. What to get and where?

After I find the primer for the aluminum rims, I will prime it another time with regular primer and then 2 coats of flat black paint with a real tiny and I mean tiny clear coat. I like the flat black look.

I am only doing the driver side rims and then the pass. side next weekend. I know I will look stupid for a week but I could care less.

Any more ideas or advice, tips?

You can look at the how-to section, or better yet in the FAQs about exterior styling you can find this thread:
