kind of at a stand still at the moment. I dont really have much to do and dont have much motivation to do it lol

I got in the dual oil catch and was trying to figure out where to mount it. Finally found a spot. Unfortunately I cant hook it up at the moment due to FRSport forgetting to 3 of the 4 fittings and slacking on shipping when they rectified the order.

255 and it looks nice and tight around the lip/sidewall so I'd wager 9" or thereabouts like you guessed.

Also, woo blue!

They are 9"!

I hadnt really planned on buying wheels but a second set is always something I wanted.
I had found a deal on some Rays 57DR's which sparked my search for RE30's, because why get wheels you kind of like when you can get your all time favorite wheels.

Although a larger lip would have been desirable, but the offsets the larger lip versions come in would NEVER fit in that front fender without widening.

They wont be blue for very long

I know right!?! I hope they will look even better white. I am nervous

the BEST thing is....the are 4lbs lighter that the 57 Optimise's I have now....and they are 1.5" wider. Still not as light as RPF1's but they look better (imo)

Why so wide tires or wheels?
The 255's came with the wheels, and there isnt too much thread left, so once I burn them up I will be swapping over the 235's that are on the Gram Lights.

I know 225 is tire with, but I wanted to make sure you werent talking about the wheel width.
The fronts wont rub. 35 offset.

Am I being lampooned? lol
235 is 9.2" it is a perfect width for the wheel. It may have a very slight 'stretch look' but it will be alot less squishy sidewall than my current setup below
I am actually insane running 235's on my 7.5" wheel right now haha.
But its nice throwing the wheels down when I take them off knowing that there is enough sidewall bulge to prevent the wheels from making contact with the ground.

Have you ran around with the falkens yet? Ive never had Falkens (probably wont after these) but I always remember seeing them on drift cars. This model specifically

interesting. I dont really hear too many people running falkens these days on the track. Usually Dunlop, Bridgestone, Toyo and Advans are the go to's.

Whyd you choose em? ( Im a very brand loyal person so I stick with certain brands haha)

215mm is 8.46" and they look stretched as HELL on my 8" wheels. There may be brand differences though.. But I don't think 235s on 9" wheels will look hellastretched.. just a bit though.

I'm getting 235s for my 8" soon.

I was going to run 235/55-17 on the Firebird whenever I found 17's I liked and most being 9" wide 235 would've been a slight stretch as the tire manufacturers' recommended rim width was 7-8.5" for a 27" tall tire. I wanted a square setup and didn't want to have to worry about rubbing anywhere and maintaining close to factory height was higher priority than having more tire width.
