the coilovers have to be send out in pairs to get rebuilt
if one of your rears goes bad, you should rebuild both rears together, or you'll have a hard time getting both rears to perform equally, thus throwing your balance off. -------------------- |

Hey man...I'm really liking your build thread. Light weight, auto-x, windy road racer. I'm really liking that for a theme. I just got a 95 GT coupe...I wanna go in a similar direction...Lightweight and great handling. I wanna keep it budget friendly...What do you think of lowering springs and new shocks? How much of an impact will that have on bettering the handling? |

Personal opinion but i would get Ksport/D2 coilovers, ST swaybars, and twosrus endlinks, makes for an awesome combo, its what i have on mine, i believe he has a similar setup, and the difference is night and day between stock and modified, but swaybars make a huge huge difference even between having coilovers on it, the swaybars made it so much better

I believe you, I do...But I'm not investing that kind of money into this thing. It's not a valuable car. What sways are you guys running? What kind of difference would I be looking at with some lowering springs, new shocks and sways? |

my friend, if you want to start modding cars, budget friendly isnt a phrase that really presents itself often haha.
i did pay about 400 for my coilovers from a fellow member, they were used for about 700miles and granted they arent the best coilovers i could have gotten, but they do the job well. price wise coilovers arent that much more expensive than a spring shock setup. megan racing coilovers go for around 7-800 new in the long run, youll be happy that you got coilovers. im not saying that a spring shock setup is bad, alot of people on here have them and swear by it, but from my personal experience and for what i use the car for, coilovers are a must. (coilovers are a stiffer ride than a spring shock setup btw, unless if you soften the shocks on a coilover setup) sway bars that most everyone runs on here are suspension tech sway bars. you can find them on optionimports.com and while doing them it would as 96stgreendemon had stated, twos r us end links, because you will have to take them off anyways. sway bars will increase steering response and body roll (lessen roll) spring and shock will lower the car (and center of gravity) also making it stiffer, less body roll etc. youll be excited because it will always feel like your driving a racecar to work haha. i dont want to sway you in any particular direction, i just want to make sure that you are modding you car appropriately in a way that it will be beneficial for what you will be using it for might i ask what part of pa your from? ^^ good set up. I think if i didn't have much of a budget i would go towards koni yellows with ground control adjustable springs. Can never go wrong with koni's

timing is almost complete.
got the coilover back today, it was all loosened up so i decided to lower it a bit. took off the other rear and tried to loosen it but i dont have the wrenches. my friend said he may be able to provide me with some other than that, repainting a few things checking the taillights replacing some various bulbs around the car and...trying to figure out what my next purchase is going to be. possibly spacers, but i am positive i will encounter a rubbing issue that i would be in no mood to work on -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

Good call.
My GT came with non-hubcentric wheels. So i'm looking for about 8 of a hubcentric that fit. All neons have 5x100 the same bolt pattern, there's a million of them, they have some ok looking wheels. -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq
