bored at work so I caved bit, and here is a little progress update. nothing special. general maintenance before the good parts come smile.gif

Since I sold my second SLR I used to take pics of all car related work...and my other Canon body is too large...Ive been resorted to cell phone pictures.

If I can stick to my current schedule then the weekend after thanksgiving. That date is becoming more and more unlikely. As much as Id like to, Id rather not rush the re-assembly and timing/oil leak fix
Im excited to see what its like! especially after your rave reviews

I definitely enjoy my LSD, and mine really isn't even that good. Since you autocross your car, I think you'll notice a pretty big difference.

Edit: Here's a quote from the BEAMS Owners Group concerning the LSD you have versus the one I have.

QUOTE

I've got the first one, it's a hell of a lot better than the crappy standard LSD. You can feel the TRD one actually do some work especially mid corner.

EDIT: trans rebuild*

Went with the TRD lsd, everything inside looked fine. Only other thing done was new seals all around. I need to fill it with some syncro-mesh when I get the chance to

Awesome car! By any chance have you ever met a really tall guy named Sam at work? I had a friend that said he used to work with a guy with a Celica with a description that matches yours perfectly

nope. i work in a really small office. Did he describe it to have white wheels? I know a guy at the toyota in Columbia who used to have a 5th gen that was blue and had white wheels

wish I saw more celica's that werent in terrible condition! Though I do see a pristine black coupe I see everyday on the way to work. Gives me the extra drive to get mine back out!

What's the purpose of the extended pushrod?

Where are those control arm bushings from?

Why do you get to have an LSD and I don't?

Why is your car so sexy?

Why do I ask so many questions?

Hahahaha thanks, so those are his bushings... I was looking at them not long ago. Any comments on the quality of the construction?

And I might have to try that pushrod.

They are fantastic. I am however having an issue with movement in the rear larger bushing. Im sure it has to do with the sleeve (crash tube) that went with the stock bushings but had to be destroyed upon disassembly.
Car should be back on the road in a couple weeks so I can review their actual performance.

That pushrod is helpful with a stiff aftermarket clutch

That makes sense (pushrod)

I'll be waiting for the reviews. Should be a very noticeable difference in stiffness.
