You want power but have no money. That's a problem.

Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick two.

Yes 350 is a good price. Remember, this is a NON-LSD E153......so on average they go for about 400-500$. So 350 is a VERY good price, but certainly not unheard of...Ask if the person/company will offer a 30day warranty on the trans, and if they do, Good find man. thumbsup.gif

I would look for a e153 from a 96-00 camry or solara, if you're going for non lsd.
They might be a bit more $ but usually much lower mileage on it.

Sweet thanks for the replys everyone, very informative. smile.gif

No its not lsd, as is my current tranny so i can live with that.

Yes they do offer a 30 day guarantee at this particular shop. thanks jim

I found another place that sells it for $350 so it looks like this is the ballpark price.

Batman has a good point, i remembered after i posted that there are newer cars with the tranny so i will start looking there as well.

Also, I was wondering if I need to do anything to make it work? I have a mr2 e153 right now so i should just be able to switch them out right?

if its out of a solara or camry, it will already be set up for FWD, so it will just bolt right up.

not sure what years and models, but some e153 trannies use slightly different axels, ( inner part ) so when picking up a newer tranny, either get it with the axels included or take one of yours and make sure it works.

I'm sure someone has the specific info but this is all I dig in my head right now.
